Grand Country Resort has hired Ultramax Sports to help produce a half marathon/5k at Branson Landing. The event will consist of a half marathon (13.1 miles) and 5k (3.1 miles) and will help support local charities and businesses throughout the Branson area.

City of Branson Fire & Rescue will present a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training program starting October 11, 2016. This training will be held every Tuesday for eight weeks from 6:00-9:00PM at the fire department’s training center located at the new Ballparks of America campus (formerly Factory Merchants Mall) at 1000 Pat Nash Drive in Branson.

The Branson Adventure Challenge is an 18 mile race that includes biking, canoeing, running, and minor obstacles. The event will benefit Christian Action Ministries.

City of Branson's Annual Fall Cleanup will take place October 24th - 27th with Ward 1 being picked up on Monday, Ward 2 on Tuesday, Ward 3 on Wednesday and brush/limbs from all Wards on Thursday.
All items including brush must be at the curb by 8 a.m. on day of pickup. Crews will not backtrack. City crews will not pickup garbage normally collected by private refuse haulers. One truckload of brush/limbs per residence. City crews will not collect tires, household chemicals, electronics or bagged leaves.
If disposing of exceptionally heavy or large items, residents are asked to call 417-243-2725 (Public Works) at least 24 hours before their scheduled pickup day.
