Branson Police Officer Graduates from Top Training Course

The City of Branson would like to congratulate Branson Police Officer Lt. E.J. Jones for graduating from the Southern Police Institute’s Administrative Officers Course at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky.


After the three month long course, Lt. Jones received the “Director’s Award for Academic Excellence” for recording the highest academic average out of the 48 command level officers from across the U.S. who were also in that course.


The Southern Police Institute is part of the Department of Criminal Justice in the College of Arts and Sciences of the University of Louisville. It is an advanced educational and training institute whose mission is to enhance the professional development of law enforcement officers.


This specific course is designed to develop informed, effective, ethically and technically competent law enforcement managers who are capable of assuming positions of leadership in their respective agencies.


This is a big milestone for Lt. Jones as well as the Branson community as it will aid in continuing the advancement of professionalism and accountability within the Branson Police Department and allow for more efficient policing through modern advanced policing techniques.
