Dr. Brian Clonts Fills Branson’s Vacant Board of Aldermen Seat

Brian Clonts

The Branson Board of Aldermen voted unanimously at last night’s meeting, to approve CoxHealth Physician, Dr. Brian Clonts, to fill the open Ward 3 Alderman position.

Dr. Clonts is currently the Medical Director for the Hospitalist Department at Cox Medical Center Branson as well as the Medical Director for Shepherd of the Hills Nursing Facility. Dr. Clonts is retired from the United States Air Force Reserve, spending a total of 26 years on active duty and reserve time.

Interested in issues that impact senior citizens, Dr. Clonts says the health and well-being of the community is important to him.

“I’ve worked with the City as a proponent for the Clean Air Initiative enacted in Branson. I would like to work with the other Aldermen to bring continued positive change, for Branson. I want to see Branson continue to grow and become a more prosperous community,” said Dr. Clonts.

Dr. Clonts fills the Alderman position left by Betsy Seay (see). Seay resigned from the Board of Aldermen September 1, 2018, after she moved out of her ward and, according to City code, was no longer able to serve on the board.

Dr. Clonts will be sworn in at the next Board of Aldermen meeting, Tuesday, October 23, 2018.
