The Branson Parks and Recreation Department, in coordination with Senior Age Area on Aging, is excited to offer an Adopt-A-Senior program for area senior citizens. This program started three years ago to provide gifts and well-wishes to Branson area seniors who may not otherwise receive the joy of Christmas.
Christmas wish lists are distributed to local seniors through area care facilities, the Branson Community Center and the Senior Age home meal delivery program. Those lists are then returned to the Branson Community Center for distribution to those interested in adopting a senior.
If you are interested in adopting a senior this holiday season, wish lists will be available for pick-up at the Branson Community Center and Branson RecPlex beginning Monday, November 18, 2019.
You can also request a wish list by emailing Community Center Coordinator Traci Burrow at firstname.lastname@example.org. Wish lists and gifts should be returned to the Branson RecPlex or Branson Community Center no later than Monday, Dec. 9.
For more information regarding upcoming events at the Branson Community Center, call 417-337-8510 or visit the Branson Parks and Recreation website at http://www.bransonparksandrecreation.com/652/Branson-Community-Center.
