Administration
The Administration Division is responsible for the overall operation of the Police Department. It is responsible for all personnel activities, including discipline, safety, conduct, work performance, assignment, selection and promotion of all the employees of the department. The administration division is responsible for the maintenance of all police records, establishing case files for the department etc. The division prepares and administers the annual operating budget for the police department.
Office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

Operations/Support Services
The Operations/Patrol Division responds to all calls for service, both emergency and non-emergency. The division patrols all areas of the city, both by vehicle and by foot patrol, serves warrants and apprehends suspects, directs traffic as needed and enforces traffic rules and regulations. Officers investigate vehicle accidents and complete reports. Officers are also responsible for conducting initial investigations of crime reports, suspicious persons and missing persons. Prisoner processing, court appearances and special assignments as delegated by Administration are also responsibilities of the Operations/Patrol Division.

Support Services
Support Services performs a variety of support functions including bailiff duties and operation of the jail. The division is also responsible for Parking Enforcement and Communications.
The Communications section handles all non-emergency and emergency 9-1-1 calls and dispatches officers and/or firefighters as needed. They run wanted person checks as well as stolen property checks.
The records section is responsible for storing, retrieving, copying and transferring police records as allowed and required by law.
Community Relations, also within the Support Services Division is responsible for teaching the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program in the Branson and Kirbyville school districts. They also assist with business licensing enforcement and work to increase public awareness by arranging seminars.
The Training section researches, develops and conducts departmental training sessions and ensures all commissioned officers maintain certifications as required by Missouri POST. It also coordinates with other agencies to send officers to specialized training provided by outside police agencies or providers. Through training, each officer is given the knowledge and skills to successfully complete department goals and objectives while instilling the department motto of “Courage, Integrity, Commitment”. The goal of the Training section is to provide officers with knowledge and skill and to instill in them the desire to serve the law enforcement needs of the citizens and visitors of the City of Branson.

Investigations
The Investigations Division conducts follow-up investigations on all cases requiring such. The division is responsible for major crime scenes and the subsequent investigation of these major crimes. The division plans and executes crime prevention programs including those designed to detect and apprehend suspects as well as to protect and recover property. The division works with outside agencies in investigating related cases and helps with the apprehension of suspects.

All calls for service that the Police Department responds to are plotted to a public crime map. These calls are plotted at least once daily.
