Fire Department Technical Services

The Technical Services Division focuses on three key functions:

New Commercial Properties: Plan review and inspections of fire and life safety building features such as fire alarm systems, fire sprinkler systems, commercial hood fire suppression systems, along with emergency lights and exit lights.

Existing Commercial Properties: Fire and life safety inspections performed by the firefighters to assist business owners with identifying and eliminating fire hazards in the work place. Fire pre-planning completed on commercial buildings within the community.

Fire Safety Education: Programs developed for and delivered to groups within the community. Programs focusing on school age children, teenagers, senior citizens, fire safety in the workplace, as well as the Learn Not to Burn program, for example.
