Planning & Development Department

The Planning and Development Department is divided into two divisions:

Building Division
The Building Division is responsible for the oversight of all building construction within the corporate limits of Branson. The City of Branson has adopted the 2009 ICC Codes Series and the International Code Series. The Building Department enforces the regulations contained in these codes.

Planning Division
The Planning Division is responsible for the oversight of all land use and development within the corporate limits of Branson.

The Planning and Development Department is committed to firm, fair, consistent, cooperative partners with the development community.

Floodplain Information
The City of Branson has several areas that are subject to ‘100 year flood’ water levels. Branson is a member in good standing with the National Flood Insurance Program. Permit applications are reviewed for compliance with the National Flood Insurance program regulations.
